At the current moment, my ability to take on new clients is extremely limited thanks to being a one-woman operation; that being said, I do have space for a few remaining cuties, and plan to expand my team in the new year to accommodate every dog in Los Angeles (okay, okay, not EVERY dog..... but, like, a lot of them.)
Please do feel free to reach out if you're interested in my services and I'll let you know if I have space, or put you on the waitlist for when I'm able to accommodate!
I'm so glad you asked. First and foremost, your money is going towards my ability to take time off from paid grooming and volunteer my services for amazing local rescues such as Pup Culture, Mutt Scouts, and more. Read more about that here.
Secondly, I've been in the grooming industry for over a decade; I've done hands-on training and taken countless seminars and classes with some of the most talented names in the game, as well as continuously take education seminars and compete at grooming conventions to further my talent. Ahead are some of my credentials, so TL;DR: my work speaks for itself, and your pup is gonna look and feel cute af, smell good, and most of all, be super happy.
Some of my previous shops include Vanderpump Dogs and Jess Rona Grooming, and I've done work for some big names in Hollywood including Andy Garcia, Katy Perry, Ellen Pompeo, Natasha Lyonne, and more I'm not able to name-drop (legalities, and all). I've assisted in productions such as Haute Dog, Bissell commercials, and Pets on Q, and my work can be seen in productions such as the Great American Groom-a-long on Animal Planet as well as an upcoming Chase Bank x Instacart commercial.
And lastly, the products I use are top-notch. 95% of the products I use, including every shampoo and conditioner (minus the blueberry facial) are Iv San Bernard; a luxury line of products from Italy designed by a team of veterinarians and doggy dermatologists to address common skin issues and keep your pet's skin and coat as healthy as possible! I've even used their whitening to tone my own blonde hair, and used their scalp treatment on a case of dandruff an especially dry winter gave me. I've taken classes by their head honcho, Mr. Cliff Faver, and am in constant contact with Suzanne Marchetti if there's a skin or coat issue I can't seem to solve. See more about them here.
Believe it or not, it's just me, myself, and I! When you text, it's me responding. A photo on instagram? Yep, that's me too. And the fashionista choice of bow? Oh, you know it.
Occasionally, I'll need a second pair of hands either for stability or safety, in which case you'll know ahead of time. When this happens, I'm typically accompanied by my hunk of a dog-loving husband, Dennis, or very dear friend and fellow rescue groomer, Lisa.
All of Southern California, sweet cheeks! However, I'll be coming to you from Sherman Oaks so keep that in mind. If you're, say, in Hollywood, it's going to cost significantly less than if I have to drive over an hour to reach you in Redondo Beach. I'm more than happy to take the trek, but the time in my car takes me away from other clients, so the cost will reflect that.
Absolutely no worries. If you know your pup has some issues (don't we all?), kindly let me know ahead of the appointment so we can plan accordingly! Some of my favourite pups are, how do you say... not the most polite. I'll work with them over time and we can come up with a game plan to continue the work inbetween visits to aim for a stress-free grooming experience.
Venmo, cash, and card are all accepted. Checks are not accepted unless previously discussed.
Deep breaths. We got this. First and foremost, I will never shame you for having a matted pup (unless it becomes a situation of neglect on the pup's part - but even then, we'll figure something out, and it will be all love). It happens. It's impossible for me to know exactly how bad it is without getting my hands on the cutie, but we can always discuss options. In some cases, it may be best to clip your babe short and start fresh - I know, it sucks, but it'll grow back. At the end of the day, I will always, always do what's most humane and kind to the pup. Mild dematting is no biggie, especially for those trouble coats, but excessive dematting, or repeated instances of matting, will result in us sitting down, having some tea, and talking about how to best achieve the level of fluffiness you want. You're not alone in this, and if you want a lesson in proper brushing or a referral for products to use, please ask!
As a general rule, I always say to have your babe taken care of at least once a month. This doesn't necessarily mean a full overhaul each time; sometimes you may just need a bath and a light tidy! However beyond this, it truly depends on the dog type, the coat length, and your own preferences. Some of my clients have me come once every four weeks, others have me come once or even twice a week so their pup never smells bad. Like, ever. It's completely up to you!
Nope! If you're bathing and not conditioning, or using low quality products, the skin will be super dry, yes. But all of my baths include a deep conditioning that replenishes some of the oils to your pup's skin so they're not itchy. My pups that get done 1-2 times a week have the nicest skin I've seen (without sounding too Buffalo Bill-y)
Yes, yes, yes! Teaching is one of my absolute favourite things to do, and I'd be thrilled. Please reach out via my contact form and I'll get back to you ASAP with the details!
